FIGHTING CAMELS BROADCAST TEAM

CHRIS HEMEYER
Play-by-Play "Voice of the Fighting Camels"
Hemeyer is entering his 14th season as the "Voice of the Fighting Camels". Promoted to Sr. Associate Athletics Director in 2023, Hemeyer oversees all of Campbell's external relations. Hemeyer is the television and radio voice for Campbell Football and Men's Basketball, having also broadcast baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, women's lacrosse, and wrestling at Campbell.

EVAN BUDROVICH
Play-by-Play Baseball, Women's Basketball, Volleyball
Evan Budrovich begins his ninth season as a play-by-play voice for Campbell Athletics. Budrovich has served as the lead play-by-play voice for Campbell women's basketball, baseball, volleyball along with fill-in assignments covering Campbell football and basketball on ESPN+ and FloSports. Evan was also the lead play-by-play voice for the 2022 Big South Baseball Championships. Outside of Campbell, Evan works freelance events as a play-by-play broadcaster for Duke, East Carolina, N.C. State and Wake Forest.

ZACH BERLY
Play-by-Play, Men's and Women's Soccer and Women's Lacrosse
Campbell alum Zach Berly begins his eighth season as the play-by-play voice for Soccer and Women's Lacrosse. In addition to his work in the Big South and American Athletic Conferences., Berly has called matches in the first, second and quarterfinal rounds of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament and commentated the 2022 NISL Men's and Women's Championship Games. Berly started broadcast games as a student at Campbell where he graduated magna cum laude.

JAY SONNHALTER
Football, Basketball and Baseball Analyst
Sonnhalter has been an analyst on Campbell Football, Basketball, and Baseball broadcasts for the past decade. Sonnhalter was an All-Conference Tight End at East Carolina, graduating from ECU in 2007. He had a brief stint with the Washington Commanders following the 2008 NFL Draft. Sonnhalter has worked as a Color Analyst on games in the Big South, AAC, CUSA, SOCON, and MAC, as well as covering North Carolina High School regular season and State Championships.

DR. ANDY BOWMAN
Football Analyst
Campbell alum and former faculty member Dr. Andy Bowman begins his 14th season as a part of the Football Broadcast team. Bowman also provides occasional color commentary for Campbell Men's Basketball. On campus, Dr. Bowman is the Director of Continuing Professional Education and an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Bowman was the first Campbell University College of Pharmacy Alum ever elected to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy in 2015. 
 

RUSTY SCARBOROUGH
Soccer Analyst
Rusty Scarborough is in his third season on the Fighting Camel broadcast team as a color analyst for soccer.  A Campbell soccer alum, Scarborough has four decades of experience coaching men's and women's soccer on the collegiate, professional, and club levels.  He has head coaching experience at North Carolina Wesleyan and Greensboro College, was assistant men's coach at UNCG, and has served as Director of Soccer at the Capital Area Soccer League and IMG Academy.

WANDA WATKINS
Women's Basketball Analyst 
A fixture in the Fighting Camel Athletics program for the last four decades, Wanda Watkins served as Senior Associate Athletics Director, Senior Woman Administrator, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator.  After a 37-year coaching career, she moved into athletics administration at her alma mater in September 2016. While in charge of the Camels on the court, Watkins led her teams to 549 victories, 10 appearances in Division I conference championship games, and the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament. Watkins is in both the Campbell and Big South Conference Hall of Fames. The basketball court in Gore Arena is named in her honor. Watkins retired from Campbell in 2024.
