The Camel Mission

Our mission is to physically develop student-athletes to advance their ability to play their chosen sport, reduce the probability of injury, and reach their individual full potential as athletes and human beings.

The Sports Performance Department at Campbell University is committed to developing our student-athletes both on and off the field. Our goal is to provide student-athletes with the knowledge, motivation, confidence, and training necessary to reach their athletic potential as well as their human potential as a young adult. Ultimately, we want to improve athletic performance, decrease the likelihood of injuries, and increase mental and physical resilience and preparedness.

Our goals are accomplished by utilizing free-weight, ground based, multi-joint movements in an environment of positive reinforcement, good communication and constant encouragement. The sports performance staff provides Campbell University with an invaluable resource. The collective sports performance staff have experience working with a wide variety of high-level athletes, as well as championship teams in a variety of sports.

This experience, combined with ongoing continuing education and research enable the staff to provide all Campbell student-athletes with the highest quality sport-specific training.
