CONWAY, S.C.-Rachel Deline and Morgan Timiney earned all-conference honors, leading Campbell's men's and women's teams to fourth place finishes at the Big South Championships Saturday at Quail Creek Golf Club.
Deline, a senior from Belleville, Ontario, placed ninth overall in the race with a time of 18:12 to earn her first all-conference honor. Sophomores Claudia Mundy and Ashley Matthews followed with times of 18:32 and 18:42, placing 14th and 19th, respectively.
Sophomore Morgan Timiney led the Campbell men with a 10th place finish and a personal best mark of 25:04 on the 8K course. The all-conference honor was the second for Timiney, who took Atlantic Sun all-league accolades in 2010.
Junior DeLohnni Nicol-Samuel finished 22nd with a time of 25:39. Evan Darm, Chris Schulist and Clayton Woll also placed for the Camels, taking 26th, 29th, and 33rd with times of 25:53, 26:06 and 26:10. Darm and Woll each tallied personal bests on the day.
High Point claimed the women's team title, while Liberty took the men's championships. Liberty notched both the women's and men's individual championships, with Jennifer Klugh on the women's side and Zac Edwards in the men's race.
Campbell will be back in action on Nov. 12 at the NCAA Regionals in Louisville, Ky.
