Attema Named A-Sun Runner of the Week

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - After winning the UNC Wilmington Invitational on Friday, Terence Attema (Smithville, Ontario) was named the Atlantic Sun Cross Country Runner of the Week.

This is Attema's second Runner of the Week award as he also took the honor after placing second at last season's UNC Wilmington Invitational.

Attema has had a strong start to his senior campaign as he also had a second place finish at the USC Upstate Eye Opener Invitational to open the season. Attema cruised to his first win of the 2010 season on Friday, at the UNCW Invitational. Attema finished with a time of 18:36, 31 seconds ahead of Wil Zahorodny of UNCW, which led the Campbell Men to their first win as a team on the season.

The women also had strong contributions in their victory at the UNC Wilmington Invitational. Leading the pack was junior, Rachel Deline, who had a seventh place finish.

The Camels head to Rock Hill, S.C. this Saturday for the Asics-Winthrop Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 9 a.m.
