ASHEVILLE, N.C.-Three Bulldogs collected double-digit kills to lead UNC Asheville past visiting Campbell 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-20, 25-20) in Big South Conference action Friday night inside the Justice Center.
Asheville moves to 13-9 overall and 6-3 in conference play, while the Camels fall to 11-14 on the year and 4-5 in Big South matches.
Cindi Miller and Holly Shelton each tallied 13 kills for Asheville, with the pair adding eight and three digs, respectively. Anna Moore added 11 kills and three blocks in the win, while Hallie Morse piled on 41 assists, 20 digs, five kills and three aces.
Meredith Foster registered eight kills and five blocks, with Alex Stewart collecting 18 digs on the night.
Leading the Camels was junior outside hitter Jordan Reaves with 16 kills and 14 digs. Ally Russo, another junior outside, poured in 23 digs and seven kills, with Lindsey Coats and Annie Kobeski recording six kills apiece.
Down one set to none, Reaves gathered six kills in the second set to pull Campbell even with a 25-19 win. Despite five kills from Kobeski in the third, the Bulldogs picked up a 25-20 set win as Asheville posted five aces in the frame.
Moore, Miller and Shelton combined for 14 kills in the fourth, leading Asheville to a 25-20 win to clinch the match.
Campbell will travel to Gardner-Webb for a 5 p.m. match tomorrow in Boiling Springs, N.C.
