BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Big South Crons Brand Freshman of the Week Ana Maria Ortiz (Betera, Spain) and the Campbell women's tennis team battle at UNC Greensboro on Saturday afternoon at noon.

The Camels hold a 1-3 record on the season with their lone win coming against Temple, 3-2 at the VCU 4-1 Invitational on Jan. 18.

In the last match at UNC Charlotte, sophomore Tamara Stanic (Budva, Montenegro), freshman Ewa Telenga (Gliwice, Poland) and Ortiz all picked up singles victories for the Camels, who dropped a close 4-3 decision on Feb. 2.

Strengths for Campbell have come from the top two positions, where the individuals have combined to post a 5-2 record in dual matches this spring. Junior Karolina Chernaya (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Stanic are both 2-1, while Ortiz notched a win against the 49ers.

The Spartans enter the match with Campbell seeking their first win of the season after dropping matches to North Carolina and NC State.

Campbell travels to N.C. Central on Feb. 15 with the first serve set for 2 p.m. The Camels open their home slate on Feb. 28 against Big South-foe Liberty at 2 p.m.
