Teammate Ewa Telenga (Gliwice, Poland) has also been named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week by the Big South.

Chernaya finished 2-1 in singles this past week playing in the number one position for the Camels at the VCU Invitational. She picked up two-straight set victories over Georgetown's Kelly Camolli, 6-0, 7-5, and Temple's Yana Marvina, 6-2, 6-2.
