DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Tamara Stanic tied for honors in her flight as Campbell opened its women's tennis fall season at the Davidson Invitational.

Stanic was one of three Camels who went 2-1 in their respective flights.  Stanic won five of six full sets at the number two flight, dropping a 12-10 third-set super tie-break to Davidson's Laina Cummer after the pair split the first two sets.  She then defeated Nicole Laduca of East Carolina and Gardner-Webb's Jenny Lunde in straights.

Karolina Chernaya (Flight 3) and Ewa Telenga (Flight 4) also won two of their three singles matches, then paired to go 2-1 at the second doubles flight.

Lourdes Ros and Kirsten Renz won two of three contests at the third doubles flight.

The Camels continue their fall slate next Friday (Sept. 14) at the Elon Fall Invitational.
