Camels travel to Northern Iowa Open Saturday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After a three-week break, Campbell is back in action Saturday at the Northern Iowa Open in Cedar Falls, Iowa at 10 a.m. ET. The tournament is the fifth of the season for the Camels, who most recently competed at the Keystone Classic Nov. 24.

No. 8 Missouri, Michigan State, and South Dakota State will join the host and Campbell on the mats at the UNI-Dome.

Redshirt senior Eloheim Palma leads the team with an overall record of 13-7, with a team-high five pins at the 285-pound spot. He has registered wins over three top-25-ranked wrestlers, and has defeated grapplers from the ACC (Pittsburgh, Maryland), Big 10 (Ohio State), and SoCon (VMI and Appalachian State).

Sophomores Michael Dahlstrom and Grant Blumenthal are the other two CU wrestlers with double-digit wins.  Dahlstrom is 11-7 at 141 with two major decisions and three pins, the fastest at :58. At 157, Blumenthal is 11-8 with two tech falls, a major decision and a fall.
