BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head coach Phil Schuman has set the dates for the inaugural Campbell University Women's Lacrosse Summer Camp. The event will be held on campus July 27-29, 2012 and is open to players in grades 7-through-12.
"We are dedicated to spreading the game of lacrosse and teaching its concepts at a high level," said Schuman. "Our focus will be on increasing stick skills, teaching offensive and defensive concepts, understanding fitness and nutrition of the elite athlete and preparing campers to take their game to the next level."
Schuman and his assistant coach Lindsey McDonald lead a camp staff that includes coaches and players from the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III levels. Former US Women's Lacrosse Strength and Conditioning Coach Andrew Carter, the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Campbell, will also be on staff.
The 3-day event includes on-field instruction, plus all meals and insurance. Certified athletic trainers will be present at all camp activities.
Cost for overnight campers is $400, but those who register and pay a $75 non-refundable deposit by May 1 will receive a $50 discount. Day camper fees are $300 ($275 if registered and deposit paid by May 1).
