BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Michelle Koh of Campbell University has been named to the All-East Region women's golf team by the National Golf Coaches Association.

Ranked No.-155 in the nation in the final Golfstat Cup standings, Koh tied for 10th place (78-69-71—218) in the NCAA East Regional Championship (May 10-12) at State College, Pa.  She narrowly missed a trip to the NCAA Championship tournament after she lost a one-hole play-off.

A first-team Big South all-conference choice, Koh finished the year ranked second among all league players in stroke average (75.24).  She led all Big South golfers with seven top-10 individual finishes, including a runner-up showing – her best collegiate result – at  the Xavier/LPGA International Invitational and a fourth-place effort at the Big South Conference Championship (71-76-75—222).

Koh, a senior from Kuantan, Malaysia, twice earned all-conference notice during her four-year career and was also a member of the Atlantic Sun all-freshman team in 2009.  She played in a pair of NCAA regional events and placed among the top-four finishers in the last two conference championships, including third-place tie in the 2011 A-Sun event.

She set the school 18-hole (66) and 36-hole (139) records at the 2010 Edwin Watts Palmetto Intercollegiate.

Under the direction of 21st-year head coach John Crooks, Campbell won its 11th league title and made its 15th regional appearance since 1993 when the Camels captured the Big South title (294-300-296—890) by six strokes over Coastal Carolina last month at The Patriot GC in Ninety-Six, S.C.

In addition to the Big South crown, Campbell also won the Xavier/LPGA International Invitational and Fighting Camel Classic during the 2011-12 campaign.
