Campbell 7th after 18 holes of UNCG Starmount Fall Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Campbell freshmen Brooke Bellomy and Lisbeth Brooks are tied for 15th individually and Campbell sits in seventh place on the team leader board after Sunday's first round of the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic.

The 54-hole tournament continues at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the par-72, 6265-yard Starmount Forest Country Club.  The final round is set for Tuesday.

Maryland (303) leads the 14-school field by one stroke host UNC Greensboro and East Tennessee State (304).  Furman (306) is fourth, followed by Georgia State (307), James Madison (311) and Campbell (313).

Furman's Alexa Rancourt was the lone golfer in the 75-player field to break par on Sunday with a one-under 71.  Fanny Cnops of UNCG, Mayte Vizcarrondo of ETSU and Kayla Cline of Winthrop are tied for second place at even-par 72.

Bellomy and Brooks both shot five-over-par 77 on Sunday.  Campbell junior Teresa Urquizu is tied for 32nd place (79) and senior Michelle Koh is tied for 36th (80).  Freshman Johanne Svendsen shot 88 and is tied for 69th.  Playing as an individual, sophomore Maria Jose Benavides is tied for 57th (83).
