Women's Golf finishes 4th at Cincinnati Spring Invitational

CRYSTAL RIVER, FLA. -- Michelle Koh finished 11th individually and Campbell placed 4th in the team standings following Sunday's final round of the Cincinnati Spring Invitational at Plantation Golf Resort.

Koh ended the 54-hole event at 6-over-par 222 (78-72-72) and the Camels shot 300-302-305--907 on the par-72 layout.

North Texas (301-292-289--882) won the 22-school event by 13 strokes over runner-up Morehead State (290-301-304--895). Florida Southern was third (295-302-300--897), 10 strokes ahead of Campbell.

Stetson finished fifth (303-296-309--908), one stroke behind the Camels, while Elon was sixth (301-309-299--909).

Briana Carlson of Florida Gulf Coast (74-70-67--211) claimed individual honors at five-under-par. Amy Anderson of North Dakota State was second (71-74-69--214), Paige Lausier of Morehead State was third (69-74-73--216) and Alex Buelow of Stetson fourth (73-69-75--217).

Campbell freshman Maria Jose Benavides tied for 20th (73-77-78--228), while senior Sandra Angulo tied for 22nd (74-76-79--229). Senior Sarah Bejgrowicz tied for 39th place (78-78-76--232) and freshman Kaylin Yost shot 75-77-81--233 to tie for 47th.

The Camels return to action Apr. 4-5 at the Pinehurst Challenge.
