Campbell Extends Win Streak to Four, 69-58 at Mercer
MACON, GA. Stacey Hinkle led a balanced scoring attack
with 14 points and Campbell University defeated Mercer 69-58 in
A-Sun women's basketball action on Monday night at Porter Gym.
The Lady Camels (8-7, 6-2) won their fourth-straight outing by
shooting 51 percent (26-51) from the floor on the night. Mercer
made just 30.9 percent (21-68) and could not overcome a two-point
half-time deficit.
April Cromartie added 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, plus eight
rebounds, while Carrie Emory had 11 points and three assists.
Jessica Stanley came off the bench to score eight points and pull
down seven boards in 15 minutes.
Campbell led 35-33 at the break, then limited Mercer to just
25 percent (9-36) shooting in the final period. Dana Zimmerman led
the Bears (6-8, 3-4) with 12 points, while April Dyer contributed
10.

Lady Camels return to action on Thursday when they host UCF at 7:00
