After two seasons at Georgia, Michael Kelly joins Norbert Elliott’s staff as the Camels’ Assistant Track & Field Coach for distance. Kelly will direct Campbell’s cross country teams in the fall, while overseeing the CU distance runners during the track & field season. 

Kelly served as a volunteer assistant for the Bulldogs from 2010-11, aiding UGA’s cross country and distance programs.

While at Georgia, the Bulldogs received their first at-large NCAA Cross Country Championships bid in seven years in 2011, while several earned All-American honors during the track & field season.

Prior to his time at Georgia, Kelly served as a volunteer assistant at Mercer from the fall of 2008 until spring 2011, assisting both the Bears’ cross country and track teams.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Kelly graduated from the University of Florida in 2002 with a degree in building construction. He is certified as a Level II USATF Endurance coach.

He resides in Buies Creek.
