February 14, 2012 Swimming Off To CCSA Championships This Week Campbell’s swim team competes in the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships from Feb. 16-18 this week in Athens, Ga. The Camels will look to improve on the team’s eighth-place finish from a season ago. The CU program has finished between sixth and eighth in each of the last three seasons. The events during each morning will be the timed trials starting at 10 a.m. The finals from the morning events for each day are held each evening starting at 6 p.m.
February 7, 2012 Cheriesse Campbell Claims CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor For the second time in her career Campbell swimmer Cheriesse Campbell was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Women’s Swimmer of the Week, the league announced on Feb. 7 for the week of action from Jan. 30- Feb. 4. The honor is the second for a Campbell swimmer this season and the fifth time the last two years that a CU swimmer has been recognized.
February 4, 2012 Swimming Falls To UNC Wilmington, 124-78 Campbell’s swimming team (12-15, 10-8 CCSA) fell to UNC Wilmington by a 124-78 score in the team’s final meet of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Seahawk Natatorium. The Camels put together 11 top-three finishes on the afternoon.
January 30, 2012 Swimming Completes Regular Season At UNC Wilmington Campbell’s swim team (12-14, 10-8 CCSA) finishes the 2011-12 regular season and heads to UNC Wilmington (9-6) for the team’s final tune-up before this season’s CCSA Championship this weekend. The Camels will swim against the Seahawks at the Seahawk Natatorium in a meet scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
January 28, 2012 Swimming Splits With Six Teams At CCSA Duals Campbell’s swimming team (12-14, 10-8 CCSA) split the six teams that participated at the CCSA Duals on Saturday, Jan. 28, in Davidson, N.C. The Camels were able to defeat Howard (219-37), North Carolina A&T (217-32) and Radford (192-98). The team fell in the matchups with Davidson (101-193), Georgia Southern (95-199) and Liberty (94-168).
January 27, 2012 Swimming Defeats North Carolina A&T, 163-36 Campbell’s swimming team (9-11, 7-5 CCSA) made the program’s Senior Day memorable by defeating North Carolina A&T by a 163-36 score on Jan. 27 at the Johnson Aquatic Center. The Camels were able to win 10 of the 11 events and accumulated 27 top-three finishes on the afternoon.

January 24, 2012 Swimming Hosts Final Home Meet Of Season This Weekend Campbell’s swim team (8-11, 6-5 CCSA) has a pair of meets on the docket this weekend. The Camels will host North Carolina A&T on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Johnson Aquatic Center in the team’s final home meet of the season at 4 p.m. CU stays in state and travels to Davidson, N.C. to participate in the CCSA Duals at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28.
January 21, 2012 Swimming Falls Twice At East Carolina Campbell’s swimming team (8-11, 6-5 CCSA) was downed by both East Carolina (193-101) and William & Mary (211-51) on Saturday afternoon at Minges Natatorium in Greenville, N.C. in the team’s first competition over the last two months.
January 19, 2012 Swimming Travels to East Carolina on Saturday After nearly two months away from competition, Campbell’s swim team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) gets back into action for the first time in 2012 with the spring portion of the schedule beginning this weekend. The Camels travel to Greenville, N.C. to take on East Carolina and William & Mary on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Minges Natatorium.
November 19, 2011 Swimming Comes From Behind To Win Highlander Invitational Campbell’s swimming team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) came all the way back from third place on the final day of the Highlander Invitational to win the title with 673 points. The Camels outpaced Liberty’s 666.5 and Georgia Southern’s 619 points.
November 18, 2011 Swimming Ranked Third in Highlander Invitational After Two Days; Two More School Records Fall Campbell’s swimming team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) continued to swim well on the second day of the Highlander Invitational on Friday, Nov. 18, at the Dedmon Center on the campus of Radford University. The team is rank third with 458 points.
November 17, 2011 Swimming Ranks Second After First Day of Highlander Invitational; Two School Records Fall Campbell’s swimming team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) had a strong opening day of the Highlander Invitational and rank second with 196 points after the first day of competition on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Dedmon Center on the campus of Radford University. The team also broke a pair of school records and pool records on the day.
November 16, 2011 Swimming Travels to Compete in Highlander Invitational This Week Campbell’s swim team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) returns to competition Thursday, November 17, as it travels to the Radford, Va., for the Highlander Invitational. This will be the third-straight season the Camels will compete in the three-day event.
November 12, 2011 Swimming Falls Twice At North Carolina State Campbell’s swimming team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) fell to both North Carolina State (76-192) and College of Charleston (116-161) on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 12, at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center in Raleigh.
November 10, 2011 Swimming Travels to N.C. State On Saturday Campbell’s swim team (8-7, 6-4 CCSA) makes a quick in-state road trip to Raleigh to take on North Carolina State and College of Charleston on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m.
November 5, 2011 Swimming Defeats CCSA Rivals VMI and North Carolina A&T and Falls To Gardner-Webb Campbell’s swimming team (8-7, 6-4 CCSA) defeated North Carolina A&T (178-25) and VMI (176-16) but fell to Gardner-Webb (96-109) in CCSA action from Boiling Springs, N.C. on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5.
November 4, 2011 Liberty Defeats Swimming 151-111; Cheriesse Campbell Sets School Record in 1,000 Free Campbell’s swimming team (6-6, 4-3 CCSA) fell to Liberty on Friday evening, Nov. 4, by a 151-111 score at the Johnson Aquatic Center. Sophomore swimmer Cheriesse Campbell set the school-record in the 1,000 free in the meet.
November 2, 2011 Swimming Takes On CCSA Rivals Liberty, Gardner-Webb, VMI and North Carolina A&T This Weekend Campbell’s swim team (6-5, 4-2 CCSA) returns home briefly to host CCSA rival Liberty on Friday evening, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. at the Johnson Aquatic Center before traveling to Boling Springs to take on three CCSA teams in Gardner-Webb, VMI and North Carolina A&T on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. at Bost Pool
October 29, 2011 Swimming Defeats Florida A&M and Falls to Florida International and North Florida on Saturday Campbell’s swimming team (6-5, 4-2 CCSA) defeated Florida A&M (217-19), but fell to Florida International (98-190) and North Florida (169-119) on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Jacksonville, Fla.
October 28, 2011 Swimming Falls To Georgia Southern, 163-74, In CCSA Action Campbell’s swimming team (5-3, 3-1 CCSA) saw the team’s four meet win streak snapped by Georgia Southern in a 163-74 loss to the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 28, in Statesboro, Ga.
October 26, 2011 Swimming Takes On CCSA Rivals Georgia Southern & North Florida This Weekend Campbell’s swim team (5-2, 3-0 CCSA) has a busy weekend and travels to Statesboro, Ga. to take on Georgia Southern on Friday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. and to Jacksonville, Fla. to compete against North Florida on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m.
October 22, 2011 Swimming Defeats North Carolina A&T, 156-40, In CCSA Action Campbell’s swimming team (5-2, 3-0 CCSA) had a strong team effort in defeating North Carolina A&T by a 156-40 score on Friday evening, Oct. 21, in Greensboro, N.C. at the Corbett Center in Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) action.
October 19, 2011 Charlotte Cornet Claims CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor For the first time in her career Campbell swimmer Charlotte Cornet was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Women’s Swimmer of the Week, the league announced on Oct. 19 for the week of action from Oct. 10-17. The honor is also the first for a Campbell swimmer this season and the fourth time the last two years that a CU swimmer has been recognized.

March 4, 2011 Swimming Has 13 Earn CCSA All-Academic Honors The Campbell University swimming team had 13 student-athletes selected to the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's All-Academic Team, the league office announced recently.
February 20, 2011 Swimming Finishes Eighth At CCSA Championship; Cheriesse Campbell Turns In All-Conference Performance Campbell's swimming team finished eighth at the 2011 CCSA Championship with a total of 176 points. Freshman Cheriesse Campbell had a big day in earning a place on the 1,650 free all-conference team.
February 19, 2011 Swimming In Eighth After Second Day of CCSA Championships; Five School Records Fall Campbell's swimming team is ranked eighth after the second day of the CCSA Championship with 130 total points. The Camels broke five school records during the second day of competition.
February 18, 2011 Swimming Ranked Seventh After First Day of CCSA Championship; Cheriesse Campbell Breaks 500 Free Record Campbell's swimming team is ranked seventh after the first day of the CCSA Championship with 76 total points. The Camels were led on the first day by freshman Cheriesse Campbell, who shattered her previous school record in the 500 free. Fellow freshman Kaitlyn Burnette also broke the 100 backstroke with her time of 58.58 attained in exhibitioned 'C' 400 medley relay .

The Camels will be looking to improve on the team's sixth place finish from a season ago. The CU program continues to improve yearly and placed seventh during both the 2008 and 2009 season. The day will have daily trials at 10 a.m. and nightly final of events starting at 6 p.m.
February 9, 2011 Cheriesse Campbell Claims CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor For the second consecutive week and the third time this season a Campbell swimmer, Cheriesse Campbell, has been named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Women's Swimmer of the Week. The league announced that Cheriesse Campbell had captured its weekly award for the week of action from Jan. 31-Feb. 5 in CU last week of regular season competition.

February 2, 2011 Kylie Warne Claims CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor Campbell freshman swimmer Kylie Warne has been named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Women's Swimmer of the Week, the league announced for the week covering action from January 24-29. This is the second time that Warne has been honored by the conference office this season as she was also named the CCSA Swimmer of Week on Nov. 10.
January 29, 2011 Swimming Falls to College of Charleston, 147-131 Campbell's swimming team (10-10, 9-5 CCSA) lost a tough 147-131 decision to College of Charleston on Friday night at Stern Pool. The Camels swam well and ended up totaling 24 top-three finishes over the course of the meet. CU actually ended the swimming portion of the meet tied with the Cougars at 131 points each, but lost all 16 points to CofC since the Camels do not have a competing diving team.
January 27, 2011 Swimming Travels to College of Charleston This Friday Campbell's swim team (10-9, 9-4 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association), after winning four of the team's six matches against CCSA competition at Davidson College last weekend, gets out back into conference action and takes on College of Charleston on Friday, Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. at the Stern Pool.
January 23, 2011 Swimming Has A Strong Meet At Davidson College Campbell's swimming team put together a strong tune-up meet in Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Cannon Natatorium against five other CCSA schools (Davidson, Howard, Georgia Southern & Liberty). The Camels were able to defeat Howard 213-60, Liberty 164-95, North Carolina A&T 221-27 and Radford 169-124. CU fell to Davidson 222-60 and Georgia Southern 215-79.
January 22, 2011 Swimming Splits Dual Meet With Pfeiffer and Gardner-Webb; Cheriesse Campbell sets school record in 1,000 Free Campbell's swimming team (6-7, 5-2 CCSA) split its dual meet against Pfeiffer and Gardner-Webb on Friday afternoon, Jan. 21. The Camels were able to defeat Pfeiffer by a 140-49 score, but fell to Gardner-Webb by a 130-66 margin at the Johnson Aquatic Center
