Campbell’s swimming team placed eighth overall with 181 points on the third and final day of the CCSA Championship. The Camels day was highlighted by sophomore Kylie Warne being an All-Conference selection in the 1,650 free. The winner of this year’s CCSA Team championship was Florida Gulf Coast with 840 points.

Campbell’s swimming team continued to compete well on the second day of the CCSA Championships in Athens, Ga. on Friday, Feb. 17. The Camels set six school records during the competition and moved into eighth place with 134 points.

Cheriesse Campbell Claims CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honor
For the second time in her career Campbell swimmer Cheriesse Campbell was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Women’s Swimmer of the Week, the league announced on Feb. 7 for the week of action from Jan. 30- Feb. 4. The honor is the second for a Campbell swimmer this season and the fifth time the last two years that a CU swimmer has been recognized.

Campbell’s swimming team (12-15, 10-8 CCSA) fell to UNC Wilmington by a 124-78 score in the team’s final meet of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Seahawk Natatorium. The Camels put together 11 top-three finishes on the afternoon.

Swimming Completes Regular Season At UNC Wilmington
Campbell’s swim team (12-14, 10-8 CCSA) finishes the 2011-12 regular season and heads to UNC Wilmington (9-6) for the team’s final tune-up before this season’s CCSA Championship this weekend. The Camels will swim against the Seahawks at the Seahawk Natatorium in a meet scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Swimming Splits With Six Teams At CCSA Duals
Campbell’s swimming team (12-14, 10-8 CCSA) split the six teams that participated at the CCSA Duals on Saturday, Jan. 28, in Davidson, N.C. The Camels were able to defeat Howard (219-37), North Carolina A&T (217-32) and Radford (192-98). The team fell in the matchups with Davidson (101-193), Georgia Southern (95-199) and Liberty (94-168).

Swimming Defeats North Carolina A&T, 163-36
Campbell’s swimming team (9-11, 7-5 CCSA) made the program’s Senior Day memorable by defeating North Carolina A&T by a 163-36 score on Jan. 27 at the Johnson Aquatic Center. The Camels were able to win 10 of the 11 events and accumulated 27 top-three finishes on the afternoon.

Swimming Hosts Final Home Meet Of Season This Weekend
Campbell’s swim team (8-11, 6-5 CCSA) has a pair of meets on the docket this weekend. The Camels will host North Carolina A&T on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Johnson Aquatic Center in the team’s final home meet of the season at 4 p.m. CU stays in state and travels to Davidson, N.C. to participate in the CCSA Duals at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Campbell’s swimming team (8-9, 6-5 CCSA) came all the way back from third place on the final day of the Highlander Invitational to win the title with 673 points. The Camels outpaced Liberty’s 666.5 and Georgia Southern’s 619 points.

Campbell's swimming team is ranked seventh after the first day of the CCSA Championship with 76 total points. The Camels were led on the first day by freshman Cheriesse Campbell, who shattered her previous school record in the 500 free. Fellow freshman Kaitlyn Burnette also broke the 100 backstroke with her time of 58.58 attained in exhibitioned 'C' 400 medley relay .

Swimming Falls to College of Charleston, 147-131
Campbell's swimming team (10-10, 9-5 CCSA) lost a tough 147-131 decision to College of Charleston on Friday night at Stern Pool. The Camels swam well and ended up totaling 24 top-three finishes over the course of the meet. CU actually ended the swimming portion of the meet tied with the Cougars at 131 points each, but lost all 16 points to CofC since the Camels do not have a competing diving team.

Campbell's swimming team put together a strong tune-up meet in Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Cannon Natatorium against five other CCSA schools (Davidson, Howard, Georgia Southern & Liberty). The Camels were able to defeat Howard 213-60, Liberty 164-95, North Carolina A&T 221-27 and Radford 169-124. CU fell to Davidson 222-60 and Georgia Southern 215-79.

Campbell's swimming team (6-7, 5-2 CCSA) split its dual meet against Pfeiffer and Gardner-Webb on Friday afternoon, Jan. 21. The Camels were able to defeat Pfeiffer by a 140-49 score, but fell to Gardner-Webb by a 130-66 margin at the Johnson Aquatic Center
