ATHENS, Ga. – Campbell's swimming team placed eighth overall with 181 points on the third and final day of the CCSA Championship. The Camels day was highlighted by sophomore Kylie Warne being an All-Conference selection in the 1,650 free. The winner of this year's CCSA Team championship was Florida Gulf Coast with 840 points.
Warne swam a 17:02.72 to be an all-conference choice and the first since Cheriesse Campbell turned the feat in the same event last season. Warne also set a school-record in finishing as the runner-up in the event. She was one of four CU athletes that scored points in the event along with sophomore Cheriesse Campbell (7th – 17:17.18 – 11 pts.), junior Kaitlyn Tunstall (11th – 17:49.40 – 6 pts.) and freshman Chelsea Lawson (14thh - 17:59.36 – 3 pts.).
Freshman Sydney Postmus was the team's top placed individual in the 200 back (2:07.84). She finished 15th overall. She also finished 19th in the 100 free in the preliminaries (52.88).
Sophomore Charlotte Cornet finished 11th in the 200 breast (2:22.91).
Senior Cameron Gorse placed 25th in the 200 butterfly (2:16.39) and was the Camels' top finisher in the event.
