Swimming Defeats Florida A&M and Falls to Florida International and North Florida on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.  – Campbell's swimming team (6-5, 4-2 CCSA) defeated Florida A&M (217-19), but fell to Florida International (98-190) and North Florida (169-119) on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Camels had nine top-three finishes including three individual wins on the afternoon.

Cheriesse Campbell won the 500 free (5:08.06) and finished second in the 100 free (55.15). She was also part of the 400 free relay team along with junior Kaitlyn Tunstall and freshmen Sydney Postmus and Larissa Joassaint that finished third in their event (3:40.35)

Tunstall had an individual third-place ranking in the 100 butterfly (1:01.30).

Sophomore Kylie Warne won the 200 butterfly (2:10.93). Fellow sophomore Charlotte Cornet placed third in both the 100 breast (1:09.47) and the 200 breast (2:28.47),

Postmus placed second in the 100 backstroke and was part of the 200 medley relay team along with Cornet, sophomore Kaitlyn Burnette and Joassaint. that were the runner-up in their event (1:52.46).

Next, Campbell's swimming program now returns home to take on Liberty at 5 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
