BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell's swim team (4-2, 2-0 CCSA) hits the road and travels to Greensboro, N.C. to take on CCSA rival North Carolina A&T on Friday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. at the Corbett Sports Center
Campbell picked up a pair of wins over the weekend with victories over Queens University (152-110) and College of Charleston (144-118). Sophomore Charlotte Cornet, who was named the CCSA's Swimmer of the Week this week, had an outstanding meet for Campbell in winning the 100 breast (1:07.14) and 200 breast (2:27.32) against CofC and Queens University. She also placed third in the 200 IM and was part of the 200 medley relay team (1:50.11) that won their event. Cheriesse Campbell won both the 200 free (1:56.91) and the 500 free (5:11.60). Kylie Warne had a pair of runner-up finishes for Campbell in the 1,000 free (10:40.97) and the 200 IM (2:12.01).
North Carolina A&T is starting the season with this meet. The meet is one of two that the Aggies will host this season. North Carolina A&T is coached by Shawn Hendrix. Last season the Aggies finished 12th at the CCSA Championships with 52 points.
The Camels are wearing pink swim caps the entire month of October to promote awareness among swim fans.
The Camels will stay on the road and travel to Statesboro, Ga. for a CCSA meet against Georgia Southern on Friday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m.
