Swimming Falls At N.C. State Meet
BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell's swim team (3-7) was downed by both N.C. State and Richmond in the team's dual meet in Raleigh, N.C. on Saturday, Oct. 31. The Camels fell to N.C. State by a 217-60 margin. The team lost to Richmond 201.5 to 56.5.

Campbell's highest finish of the afternoon was the third-place swim by sophomore Emily Michael in the 200-IM (2:20.97).

Michael also set a season best (2:35.01) in finished sixth in the 200-breast.

CU's 200-freestyle relay team also had a top three finishes in their event. The Camels group of senior Kara Gerdeman, freshman Kaitlyn Tunstall, senior Jackie Kenline and junior Ashlyn Stumpf swam a 1:42.67. The time was a season best for the group. Campbell's second team entered in the event of freshman Magda Kedracka, senior Mary Beth Dellinger, junior Kelly Mullican and freshman Devin Dorough also swam their best time of the season, a 1:48:24, to place fourth.

Mullican also swam a season-best time of 1:03.30 to finish seventh in the 100-back.

Next, Campbell's swimming program has a pair of meets on the slate next week starting with Georgia Southern on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. in Georgia. CU then goes down the road to take on North Florida on Saturday, Nov. 7 at noon.
