CU loaded the bases with two outs in the third inning but could not score. Freshman Kerstine Womack singled to third with one out. Freshman Ericka Nesbitt was then walked and fellow rookie Stephanie Jones was hit by a pitch to load the bases. The next batter, Raven Lee, struck out to end the inning though.

The Buccaneers used the change in momentum to their advantage and added two runs to the lead in the third inning as Jana Matthews homered to left with Megan Lombard on base. Lombard reached base on a fielder's choice earlier in the frame.

The Camels threatened again in the sixth inning. Jones walked and moved to second as Lee was hit by a pitch with one out. Two strikeouts ended the inning though to keep the Camels scoreless.

The Buccaneers added a few runs to the lead in the sixth inning on Rother's RBI single past the pitcher to drive in Stephanie Sbardella from third. Sbardella start the frame with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt and third on a ground out. Brock drove in the second run of the frame when she was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
