BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Senior Josep Baro (Barcelona, Spain) was tabbed as the Big South Player of the Week on Monday, helping Campbell to a 2-1 mark. The highlight for Baro was clinching the match with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5 to help the Camels top Liberty, 4-3, on April 3.

The Barcelona, Spain, native has won his last four matches for Campbell, who is 12-6 on the season and 6-2 in the Big South. He knocked off Egon Samaai from Liberty to begin the week.

A straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-1,  at Presbyterian provided the Camels with their second point of the match, but it would not be enough as the team fell, 4-3.

Against South Carolina State on April 8, Baro secured a 6-1, 6-1 triumph to aid Campbell to a 4-1 victory. He also along with classmate David Clavera (Barcelona, Spain) won an 8-2 doubles decision.

Campbell finishes up the regular season on Wednesday against East Carolina. The first serve from the Nisbet Tennis Center is 2:30 p.m.
