Campbell Men’s Tennis Battles UNC Wilmington Saturday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell men's tennis team finishes out its three match road-trip Saturday when it faces UNC Wilmington at 1:00p.m.

The Camels are 3-3 on their season, falling in a close decision, 4-3, Feb. 9 at UNC Greensboro.

Junior Fernando Guillen (San Louis Potosi, Mexico), sophomore Adrien Rossignon (Arlon, Belgium), and senior Josep Baro (Barcelona, Spain) all notched singles victories in the match.

No. 64 in the latest-ITA rankings, Guillen is now 4-2 for his season, grabbing his last four matches against UNCG, UNC Charlotte, Elon, and Morgan State. Baro is also playing well, posting a 2-1 record in the No. 5 position. Rossingnon took his second singles point of the season, defeating Gaston Murray of the Spartans, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The Seahawks are 5-1 overall, only falling to No.12 Florida, 4-2, on Jan. 27. In their last match, UNC Wilmington defeated Big South-member Winthrop, 7-0, on Feb. 10.

After the match, the Camels return home Feb. 23 for a match against Radford. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
