Spent summer of 2011 playing with the Northern Virginia Royals of the USL Premier Development League.
2010: Selected second-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference... Also earned a spot on the A-Sun All-Academic Team... Presented team's Glen Brewster Memorial Award for Leadership and Courage... Started all 19 games... Played 1777 of a possible 1790 minutes during the year at central defense... Helped lead club to six shutouts, including blankings of Loyola (9/1), Appalachian State (9/25), USC Upstate (10/2), Furman (10/5), North Florida (10/23) and Belmont (10/28)... Played full 110 minutes in all four OT draws... Only time he came off the field during the year was for the final 13 minutes of 7-0 win over Belmont...
2009: Saw action in 16 games with 14 starts as a freshman for A-Sun regular season champions... Made collegiate debut in at UNC Wilmington (9/1) and initial start vs. William & Mary (9/5)... First career goal at Lipscomb (10/1) sent the game into OT for an eventual 2-2 draw... Played full 110 minutes vs. the Bisons... Collected first career assist in win at Belmont (10/3)... Started final 12 games of year, primarily in the central defense, and played all 1100 minutes in the span...
Prep/Personal: Benjamin Shepherd Iiames joined the Camels from Broughton High School, which won two state championships during his prep career... Over his final two seasons, the Caps garnered a 47-3-2 overall record, including a 28-0-1 mark in 2007 when Broughton won its second-straight 4-A crown... As a senior, he earned all-conference and all-region honors for the 19-3-1 Caps after scoring 11 goals and adding 9 assists for the Cap-7 Conference champions... Played for Coach Doug Hess on the '90 CASL Elite club team... After a second place finish in the NCYSA Premier Division, they captured the 2009 NCYSA State Cup Championship and advanced to the USYSA Region III Championships in Frisco, Texas...
