Men's Golf looks for 2nd-straight tournament win at UCF Rio Pinar Invitational

ORLANDO, FLA. -- Coming off a one-stroke victory in last week's Bash at the Beach, Coach John Crooks' men's golf team seeks to continue its winning ways Monday in the UCF Rio Pinar Invitational.

The 54-hole event starts at 8:15 a.m. Monday with two rounds on the par-72 Rio Pinar Country Club layout.  Tuesday's final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Host and 18th-ranked Central Florida tops the field, which also includes Akron, Campbell, Cleveland State, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason, Houston Baptist, Loyola, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Seton Hall, Stetson, Western Illinois and Wichita State.

Ranked 67th in the latest Golfweek national listing, Campbell features four golfers among the Big South Conference's top 12 in stroke average.  In addition to Vaita Guillaume's league-leading mark (70.65), Amanjyot Singh stands 10th (73.55), Mitch Gray 11th (73.85) and Grant Houser 12th (73.89).

Guillaume shared top honors in the Bash at the Beach to earn his third tournament win of the season.  He is ranked No.-38 in the latest Golfstat Cup list.

Gray, who fired a final-round 70 last Tuesday, and Singh tied for 10th at the Bash at the Beach.
