Guillaume still in lead, Campbell tied for 2nd after 36 holes of Bash at the Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Vaita Guillaume holds a two-stroke advantage in the individual standings, while Campbell is tied for second on the team leader board following Monday's second round of the Bash at the Beach intercollegiate men's golf tournament.

A senior from Papeete, Tahiti, Guillaume followed Sunday's 69 with a 4-under-par 67 Monday on the par-71, 6817-yard Surf Golf and Beach club layout. He enters Tuesday's final round two shots ahead of Gardner-Webb's Daniel Kim, who sits at four-under-par 138 after consecutive 69s.

Gardner-Webb (288-287—575) holds a one-stroke edge over Campbell (291-285—576) and Xavier (288-288—576) entering the final 18 holes. High Point is fourth (289-289—578) and Radford fifth (291-291—582) in the 15-school field.

Campbell sophomore Amanjyot Singh is tied for 10th at two-over 144 (71-73). Senior Mitch Gray is tied for 31st place (74-74—148) at six-over. Grant Houser is tied for 41st (80-71—151) after shooting an even-par 71 Monday. Fellow freshman Kurtis Straw is tied for 48th (77-76—153) in his first collegiate tournament.

Two Campbell sophomores are also participating as individual competitors. Sean Goatley-Soan is tied for 23rd place (74-73—147) and Harrison Ashworth is 87th (83-79—162).
