One day after tying the school record for lowest round, Gai matched the school's second-best mark through 36 holes at 133 strokes, two shots off the record 131 set by Kyle Spahr in Sept. 2006.
Gray recorded five birdies on Monday and is tied for 7th place at four-under 140 (71-69). The senior from Florence, S.C., has produced nine birdies through 36 holes.
