BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Al'Lonzo Coleman tied his career high with 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Presbyterian to a 69-67 Big South Conference win over Campbell Saturday at Gilbert Craig Gore Arena.

A 6-foot-8 red-shirt senior from Charlotte, Coleman finished with 8 offensive rebounds, including two in the final 47 seconds as PC (10-13, 4-9) held on for its second-straight win.

Trey Freeman led Campbell (15-11, 9-5) with 18 points and 7 assists, but his driving layup with 8 seconds left was blocked by Coleman to preserve a 68-67 lead.  Ryan McTavish grabbed the rebound, but missed the front end of a one-and-one with 6.2 seconds remaining.

However Coleman tipped the loose ball to himself and sank the front end of two shots with 3.7 seconds to play.  Darren White grabbed the miss, but his leaning 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the iron.

Khalid Mutakabbir added 15 points, while Pierre Miller scored 14 (4-of-5 threes) and dealt 5 assists for the Blue Hose, who shot 56 percent from the field in the final half (94 percent for the game).  Coleman finished 10-of-14 from the floor and 9-of-13 from the line.

Eric Griffin scored 17 points on 7-of-8 from the field and pulled down 8 rebounds, but made only 2-of-9 from the line.  He missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 2:03 to play and Mutakabbir's reverse lay-up on the following possession gave PC a 68-64 lead.

Freeman's 3 from left of the key pulled the Camels within 68-67 with 1:25 to play, but Coleman's two offensive boards and blocked shot limited CU to only two shot attempts thereafter.

The loss was only the second of the season at home for the Camels, who dropped to 10-2 this season at Gore Arena.

Campbell shot 60 percent from the field (27-45) on the day, 64 percent (14-22) in the final period, but made only 6-of-12 from the line.  PC canned 10-of-16 free throws grabbed a 29-23 edge on the boards that produced a 10-2 advantage in second-chance points.

White, who scored 22 points in Campbell's 77-65 win last month at PC, finished with 8 points, marking the 3rd-straight game the Big South's 4th-leading scorer has failed to reach double digits.

The Camels led 32-28 at the break and held a 45-40 edge before PC responded with an 18-9 run to take a 58-54 lead on Coleman's tip-in with 7:05 to play.  Freeman canned a 3 and White scored on a 3-point play to give the Camels a 61-60 lead with 5:16 remaining.

However, the Camels did not score from the floor again until Freeman's triple with 1:25 left.

Campbell continues its busy stretch of 4 games in an 8-day span Tuesday at Coastal Carolina (7:00).
