Chicago State shot just 39.7 percent (27-68) from the floor and finished with a 16-9 edge in 2nd-chance points, despite being out-rebounded 41-34.

Campbell led 32-21 at the break after out-scoring the Cougars by 10 at the free throw line.  CU held the hosts to just 31 percent shooting in the first half, but committed 11 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes that Chicago State converted into 12 points.

Griffin scored 14 first-half points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor and 6-of-7 from the line, while grabbing 7 rebounds and blocking 4 shots.

The Camels jumped to a 21-6 lead when White canned a three-pointer from the right wing.  However, Chicago State answered with a 12-3 burst and cut the gap to 24-18 on Clarke Rosenberg's short bank shot with 6:52 to play.

Campbell only made two field goals over the last 6:25 of the period, but Chicago State hit just one in the same span.

The Cougars cut the gap to 34-32 on Rosenberg's 3 from the right corner with 15:02 to play, but Campbell answered with a 13-4 run and led 47-36 when Griffin hit a triple from the key.
