Adam Fellers scored 17 points to lead four Campbell University double figure scorers and the Fighting Camels claimed an 83-62 men's basketball exhibition victory over the All-Air Force team on Thursday at Carter Gym. Fellers, whose father, Don, coaches the All-Air Force squad, hit 7-of-12 shots, including a trio of 3-pointers. Tarick Johnson, like Fellers a native of Fayetteville, came off the bench to add 16 points. Reserves Jay Carter (15) and Solomon Yearby (10) also hit double digits for the Camels. Gregory Streeter led All-Air Force with 19 points, while Darrell Harmon added 18, including 4 triples. Derrick Robinson scored 20 points and Coastal Carolina used a second-half rally to defeat Campbell 67-56 in men's basketball action on Friday night at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The Chanticleers (2-7) ended a five-game losing streak by outscoring the Camels 23-9 over the game's final 6:30. Campbell (2-7) used a 9-1 spurt to take its largest lead of the game at 45-41 with 8:23 to play, but Coastal went on a 15-2 run, that included 12 unanswered points, and never trailed again. Antonio Darden added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Chants, while Alvin Green scored 15 points and Kelvin Coggins 11. Robinson grabbed 11 boards, dealt six assists and had four steals.

    BUIES CREEK, N.C. ? A 17-0 run early in the second half propelled Troy State to an 88-81 Atlantic Sun men's basketball win over Campbell on Wednesday night at Carter Gym. Ben Fletcher led the Trojans (5-3, 2-1 A-Sun) with 24 points, including 6-of-10 three-point shots. Lacedrick Pettway added 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting (3-of-4 treys), while Robert Rushing had 14 points and six assists. Lamayn Wilson, who entered the game as the A-Sun's leading scorer at over 20 points per game, added 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Adam Fellers scored a season-high 25 points, including 6 three-point field goals for the Camels (2-6, 0-3), who dropped their fifth-straight outing. Freshman Dominique Klein came off the bench to add a season-best 14 points (6-7 from the floor), while Tarick Johnson scored 14 (12 in the first half) and Bobby Jones added 10.

    BATON ROUGE, LA. -- Junior All-Southeastern Conference forward Ronald Dupree scored 18 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds to lead the Tigers to an 83-57 victory over Campbell in the season opener in the Maravich Assembly Center on Saturday night. In only 30 minutes of play, Dupree made eight of a career-high tying 18 field goal attempts and added three assists, a blocked shot and an assist. Collis Temple III scored 16 points, while Torris Bright had 13 and nine assists. In 24 minutes of action, freshman Antonio Hudson scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting. The Tigers (1-0) opened the season with a victory for the sixth year in a row, last losing in 1995-96 against St. Louis in the Hawaii Tip Off Classic. The Tigers also won their 15th-consecutive home opener -- dating back to an 83-74 loss to TCU in the Preseason NIT -- and their 29th consecutive game against non-conference opponents dating back to a 70-64 loss to Lamar on Dec. 1, 1997.

    ATLANTA, GA. -- Georgia State's 85-71 conference victory over Campbell University on Wednesday night was significant for two reasons. It was the Panthers' 23rd consecutive victory at GSU Sports Arena, and it was the 767th win in the illustrious career of Coach 'Lefty' Driesell. Driesell is tied with Henry Iba for fourth all-time in NCAA history in victories. The win moves the Panthers over the .500 mark in league play at 2-1 and 5-2 overall. Campbell falls to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

    GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Karim Souchu scored 21 points and Anthony Thomas added 18 points to propel Furman to an 83-53 win over Campbell on Saturday night at Timmons Arena. Souchu, a junior forward, connected on 8-of-14 field goals on the way to his game high scoring total, and Thomas, a senior guard, keyed the Paladins' strong perimeter shooting effort by converting 4-of-8 3-pointers to help Furman (4-1) to its fourth straight win and second victory over Campbell (2-4) in a week.
