With a series sweep of Longwood over the weekend, Campbell improved its winning streak to 13 games, setting a new program record. The team broke the mark of 12 consecutive wins that the 1986 team had established. The Fighting Camels are also off to the best start in team history at 18-3, with two games remaining on the current ten-game homestand before entering Big South play.

Michael Felton has led the CU offense and the entire Big South in batting average, hitting .483 for the season and racking up 42 hits thus far during his first year in Buies Creek. Jake Kirkland and Jimmy Brenneman have reached base during each of Campbell's 21 games and Brenneman tops the Big South charts in runs scored. Kirkland is tied for third in the league with 25 RBI and second with a .688 slugging percentage. Felton, Kirkland and Brenneman have the best on base percentage among all conference players, with each accumulating better than a .500 OBP through 21 games.

On the mound, Matt Sergey leads the Big South in strikeouts with 35, while Frank Zier is fifth with 31 strikeouts. David Olson picked up his third save against Longwood in the series finale over the weekend, placing him fifth in the league in that category.
