Shimon Ishikawa begins his first year with the Campbell University athletics staff in 2011-12 and will serve as a graduate assistant in athletic training
Ishikawa, a native of Port Washington, New York, will work closely with CU’s volleyball and softball programs.
Ishikawa was born in Osaka, Japan and moved to New York when he was two years old. He graduated from Boston University in May of 2011 with his bachelor’s degree in athletic training. At BU he worked with the women’s basketball, women’s soccer, softball and the club sport programs of men’s and women’s rugby.
Also while studying at Boston University he spent a semester working at Emerson College where he worked with women’s volleyball plus the men’s and women’s basketball programs. During his athletic training career he also has worked at Roxbury Latin High School and MIT.
He is single and resides in Buies Creek, N.C.
