BUIES CREEK, N.C.-After dropping its last pair of games, Campbell will try to bounce back against Lipscomb on Monday, taking on the Bisons inside a snow-covered John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center at 5:45 p.m.
The Lady Camels will head into the matchup at 11-9 overall and 6-5 in Atlantic Sun action following a 70-59 loss to Belmont on Saturday. Senior center Ashley Williamson collected her third double-double of the year and the seventh for her career in the loss with 11 points and a season-best 15 rebounds.
Junior guard Courtney Cannon joined Williamson in double figures with 11 points as well, adding eight rebounds and two assists. Sophomores Kate Cloxton and Katelyn Bass also chipped in nine and eight points, respectively. Cloxton added seven assists while Bass tallied five rebounds. Amanda O'Neill, another sophomore guard, gathered seven points and three rebounds.
The Lady Camels and Lipscomb have already met this season, just eight days ago in Nashville, Tenn. Campbell posted a season-high in points in an 88-80 win, as four players notched double figure point totals, led by Williamson's 16. junior Lauren Yesh also posted 15 points and six boards while Cannon and Cloxton registered 12 and 10 points each.
The Bisons were led by junior guard Jenna Bartsokas in that initial meeting with a game-high 22 points, while freshman wing Morgan Faulkner notched 18 points in the loss. Valerie Bronson, a junior guard, posted 15 points, including 13 in the second half, while Brittany Duerk ended the afternoon with 10 points. Bartsokas leads the Bisons at 12.4 points per game on the year.
Last time out, Lipscomb was routed by East Tennessee State, 82-59 in Johnson City, Tenn., sending the Bisons to 4-18 on the year with a 2-10 A-Sun record.
After the Monday night tilt, the Lady Camels will head back on the road, traveling to the Sunshine State for conference slates with Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast.
