Fighting Campbell Athletic Bands

The Campbell University Athletic Bands are under the direction of Dr. Charles Dwayne Wilson, Associate Professor of Music Education and Director of Bands and Instrumental Studies.  Student Conductors are selected annually to direct both basketball and football bands. The CU Athletic Bands are composed of the Sound of the Sandhills Stadium Band (Football) and the Basketball Pep Band (Men's and Women's Basketball).

 The CU Athletic Bands is an audition only group. For audition information or further information on the CU Athletic Bands please contact Dr. Wilson at wilsond@campbell.edu.

 

2014 Sound of the Sandhills Stadium Band

The Stadium Band is open to all university students by audition and/or invitation. The band is comprised of 120-130 university students who perform in the stands at each home football game.


 

 2014-2015 Fighting Camel Basketball Band

The Fighting Camel Basketball Band is comprised of students from the football band, wind ensemble and wind symphony. The band performs at home women's and men's basketball games. Attire includes a wind suit, polo shirt, and summer shirt and shorts provided free to each student by the music department.

 

Both Athletic Bands meet Wednesday 5:30-7:30pm from late August to early November.
